Sparks were flying

Last night, in celebration of the 4th of July, we joined Laura and Kelly and their daughter Kelsey for sparklers and fireworks. Kelsey and Gwynn go to school together and play soccer and softball together. At Laura and Kelly's house was her mom Linda and her fiance Tom. Andrew (Laura's brother) and Jenna along with their two dogs joined in on the festivities.

We began in the backyard with some casual conversation and drinks. I stuck with my old faithful of Strawberry Margarita complete with Triple Berry Sugar on the rim. Auntie Mar enjoyed one too while Uncle Mark stuck with his favorite beer, Black Butte Porter. As soon as it turned dark we all moved to the front yard where the real show started.

We all began with some sparklers that caused alot of smoke.

Gwynn got done lighting her fire.

After this warm up, Kelly and Auntie Mar got started staging the rest of the pyrotechnic show. Crickets, tanks, and motorcycles were just some of the fireworks that were on display. Even now and then we took breaks for popcorn, more sparklers, or a refill.

BOOM!!!

The Pyro Team..it doesn't look like Auntie Mar is enjoying this, does it?!?!?
The girls still awake into the whee hours of the morning.
Kelly...one boom or two... :)
We stayed until after midnight but it was well worth it. I had a great time visiting with Laura and her family. Maybe Laura can call and see if I can come over and play sometime. HAHA:)
